PK-5 Science Resources

The Maine STEM Partnership is excited to announce support for the use of FOSS Next Generation K-8 for elementary school science instruction starting in the Fall 2018! After extensive review by teachers, administrators, faculty and staff, the Maine STEM Partnership has selected FOSS as a high-quality, NGSS-aligned, science resource for Maine's K-5 teachers. If you are interested in using FOSS in your classroom or would like more information on the many exciting components of this resource, please email Marina Van der Eb at This email address is being protected from spambots. Highlights from FOSS identified by our K-5 Resource Evaluation Task Force:

- Inquiry-based Lessons
- Active hands-on learning
- Great opportunities for ELA/Reading integration (and other subjects!)
- Productive Talk guidance built into the lessons
- Great teacher resources (including how-to videos!)
